Newton Community Partnership...
...is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit established by the state of Georgia in 1996 to manage collaboration that builds community capacity to meet the needs of families and children.
What does that mean?
- We use data to identify issues affecting the well-being of children and families in our community.
- We bring citizens and organizations together in strategy teams to develop plans that improve selected issues and establish benchmarks to measure whether the plans are effective.
- We facilitate partnering to implement the plans, seeking the input of the families being served.
- We seek outside funding to fill programming gaps when no other organization in the community has the capacity to provide needed services.
- We build communication within strategy teams, between teams working on related issues, and with the public.
