ZOO ATLANTA: COOKIES WITH SANTA

Santa makes an early stop to Zoo Atlanta with cookies on Dec 5 & Dec 6

Santa Claus makes his traditional stop in the home of more than 1,000 animals from around the world at Cookies with Santa, coming up Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, 2020. Come dressed in your festive face mask for a socially distanced photo with Santa the family will always remember; then warm up with hot cocoa and cookies. Capacity is limited, and advance timed reservations are required. Timed reservations are available from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on both days. Reservations are available here on zooatlanta.org.

  • Tickets are $15 for Zoo Atlanta Members and include admission to Cookies with Santa; 
  • One 4x7 photo for each ticketholder
  • A holiday-decorated cookie; and hot chocolate. 
  • Tickets are $35 for non-Members and include the same benefits, plus admission to Zoo Atlanta. 
  • Children under 3 are free and do not require reservations; all other event attendees require reservations.

Zoo Atlanta has made updates to the event to keep Santa and his visitors safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19, including hosting the event in the open-air Ford Pavilion, requiring masks for all attendees ages 2 and up, and facilitating social distancing throughout the Cookies with Santa experience.

Zoo Atlanta is open daily with new protocols and procedures in place to promote wellness, including timed ticketing; hand-sanitizing stations throughout grounds; and signage and other aids to encourage social distancing. Masks are required for general admission for all guests over the age of 10. For certain optional paid experiences, including Cookies with Santa, giraffe feeding, the Endangered Species Carousel, Zoo train, and Treetop Trail, masks are required for all guests ages 2 and up.
