Atlanta's family-favorite musical group, Laughing Pizza, invites families to the grand Oceans Ballroom at Georgia Aquarium for a one-time, VIP family film premiere Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11:00 a.m. The award-winning band and world’s largest aquarium are teaming up for the world premiere of Laughing Pizza: The Concert Movie as well as a live performance by Laughing Pizza after the screening.

Saturday, February 4 - Laughing Pizza VIP Concert Movie Premiere

Beginning at 11:00 a.m., guests will get the “red carpet treatment” with photographs, spectacular views into the world’s largest aquatic habitat, Ocean Voyager, as well as views into the charismatic beluga whale habitat from within the grand Oceans Ballroom. There will also be entertainment by Atlanta's own Circus Camp and more. The VIP screening of Laughing Pizza: The Concert Movie, will begin at 12:00 p.m. (The film has already won 5 out of 5 Doves from the Dove Foundation, and was endorsed by the Parents Television Council.) After the screening, Laughing Pizza will perform a few of their hits, and guests will have the opportunity to meet Billy, Lisa and Emily, up close and in person!

Saturday, February 4 - Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival

The Atlanta Jugglers Association is thrilled to announce its 34th annual festival! You’ll see jugglers, unicyclists, yo-yo experts, live music and family fun for all ages. The free public show is Sat. 2/4 from 2 to 4 PM. The show includes a juggling competition and a performance by Atlanta's Seed & Feed Marching Abominable Band. There will also be a Fire Juggling Extravaganza

Kids Workshops are "How-To Workshops" designed for children. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.

Rockdale Career Academy holds the second annual Fast Forward 5K run and Fun Run.
Where: Start/finish is at RCA parking lot, 1064 Culpepper Drive.

Who: The whole family.
How: Registration opens 9:30 a.m., 1 mile fun run at 10:30 a.m., and the 5K. at 11 a.m.  Register online at www.active.com.
Cost: Registration is $15 per runner before Jan. 27 and $20 afterwards. Family registration is available before Jan. 27 at $50 for up to four people. Long sleeve T-shirts given to pre-registered participants.

Fun indoor games that reinforce the 5 senses

TOUCH: What's that Touching My Face?

What You'll Need: 

  • Feathers
  • Cloth
  • Cotton balls
  • Anything that is small and textured
  • Blindfold 
How to play: 
  1. Have two players face each other, one blindfolded and the other with all of their collected items.
  2. The player who is sighted gently brushes the objects, one by one, across the blindfolded player's cheek. The player with the items must handle them carefully as to not let the other player tell what each item is.
