I have been compensated for this promotion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I think of my childhood, a handful of happy memories come to mind; eating my favorite bowl of cereal while watching my Saturday morning cartoons is one of them. I grew up eating Kellogg's Froot Loops cereal, I would eat them in a bowl of milk or dry like popcorn for any meal of the day!

Recently, I learned about Kellogg's mission to promote literacy with its "buy a box, get free a book" campaign. I love that the products we already buy and enjoy now serve an even bigger purpose with the Feeding Reading program

Kellogg’s Feeding Reading program offers teachers, parents and kids an easy and fun way to fuel minds and bodies.

Here's how it works:

  • Buy a participating Kellogg's product, like my personal favorite, Kellogg’s Froot Loops.
  • Take a pic of your receipt and upload it to FeedingReading.com
  • Then get credit to redeem a book of your choosing to keep or donate. You can redeem up to 10 books from a list of more than 125 Penguin Random House Books spanning all reading levels, as well as a variety of cultural topics and themes.
  • It's that easy!!

My son Liam just started second grade and absolutely adores reading. When I told him about being able to get a free book if we purchased a box of Kellogg’s Froot Loops, he was so excited! Like his mom, my son enjoys eating Kellogg’s Froot Loops too! In fact, we just started virtual learning and each morning for breakfast he eats a bowl of cereal before logging into school. Liam has already expressed his desire to collect as many books as he can for his own personal bookshelf and (maybe) he will share with his little sister!
