It's a positive movement proving that youth can excel! The youth behind the bow tie retailer T&N Bow Ties and Apparel created a video project that defies negative imagery of youth. The video project, currently on social media, is titled "I Can Excel." In the video production, Treandos and Noah Thornton are seen with other young men who exemplify confidence with an "I can" attitude. The 8 young men are featured initially in casual attire and then appear in dressy, professional attire. All video participants also change into extraordinary bow ties while being depicted in the video. The project was inspired by the popular #DontRush Challenge that was initiated on the social media app TikTok.
"Our video was created to help make a difference," said 8-year-old Treandos Thornton. "Youth have dreams and plans like everyone else. Nothing can stop us. We are determined." "We can and we will, " said 5-year-old Noah Thornton.
Video participants include Treandos Thornton, Noah Thornton, Tristan Jones, Santarius Smith, Landon Perry, Donovan Smalls, Alexander Monroe and Bryce Browne. All young men want to create positive imagery for their community. All of the youth have future plans to attend college and help other youth.
Young entrepreneurs Treandos and Noah lead the team behind T&N Bow Ties and Apparel, an authentic kid-operated bow tie retail outlet. The 2 siblings are on a mission to encourage youth confidence and leadership through exposure to life skills, including highlighting professional attire.
The neckwear business T&N Bow Ties and Apparel was established in 2017. The popular kid operated boutique markets neckwear for kids, men and women. The team at T&N Bow Ties and Apparel believes that style can have a purpose which can help boost the confidence of young men and women throughout all communities. The youth are on a mission to help people in various ways. Treandos and Noah successfully led the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Community Holiday Food & Toy Drive which has collected over 1,000 non-perishable food items and toys for families throughout the Southeast. The boys are currently raising funds for the Atlanta Mission to assist families in need during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The 8-year-old Founder and CEO was recently recognized with the BOLD Award in Youth Leadership and he is the recipient of the Rising Phenix Youth Entrepreneurship Award. Treandos has also been recognized as a top entrepreneur under 25 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Company President Noah Thornton envisions the kid-business going global.
