Virtual / Digital / ZOOM- GOTOMeeting - Microsoft Teams, are more than trendy buzz words. This is how we NOW communicate.

Online chats and gaming rooms are the norm for most kids.  So, where does this leave parents- with little to no tech experience?  For starters, understanding the basics of how schools will operate this Fall and moving forward. Check with your local school board for resources.

  • Plug into a supportive community- There are home-school groups online, and on social media. Choose which is best for your Family.
  • Identify what support will you need- full time, part time? Who will provide online guidance.
  • Ask questions- Don’t be afraid to ask- take free course training. Tech companies like GoogleMicrosoft and Coursera offers online training and personal development.
  • Learn from the Pros- hire a digital coach. Take learning to the next level. This is more of an accelerated step to achieve your goals.
  • Discover your child’s interest- make learning fun! Not only will you build your child’s confidence- you will notice growth in the area of academics, reading and so on.
  • Engaged, Empowered, Enrichment- I like to call this e3
  • Exposing your child to unique opportunities along the way. For example, my son’s interests are gaming, aviation and tech engineering. We have created a community that feeds His interests with like minded kiddos. Talk about FOCUS. Lead - guide and watch them soar!

Lastly, be inspired and encouraged  ...allow time to learn and bond with your child. This new world is ever growing and changing so be flexible and find enjoyment as you take baby steps.
